The 21st Annual Education World Forum is a prestigious forum, recognized as the world's largest gathering of education and skills ministers. The forum which took place in the United Kingdom, provided a vital platform for exchanging diverse perspectives and addressing critical educational challenges. Representing Brunei Darussalam to the forum was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education.
Themed "From Stability to Growth: Building Stronger, Bolder, Better Education Together," this year's forum featured comprehensive plenary sessions and ministerial exchanges focused on developing inclusive, responsive and resilient education systems that foster equitable and sustainable socio-economic growth.
The Minister of Education also attended the ASEAN Ministerial Roundtable on Foundational Learning, where participants discussed the findings of the Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metrics. This regional initiative receives support from the UK through the UK-ASEAN Supporting the Advancement of Girls Education programme.
Yang Berhormat also held bilateral talks with Stephen Morgan MP, UK Minister for Early Education, to strengthen cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom in early childhood care and education.
During her time in London, the Minister of Education connected with Bruneian students studying in the United Kingdom and held Dialogue Session. Also participating was Doctor Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education.
